Overview

The HV electrical substations project for the Western Harbour Tunnel at Emu Plains involved the manufacture and supply of electrical infrastructure required for the precast yard. The scope of work included the design, manufacture, and supply of a 1.5MVA 11kV/400V containerized substation, along with multi-step 150kVAR power factor correction equipment. In addition to the substations, the project included the supply of high-voltage (HV) cables, metering units, load banks, fuel tanks, and other related components to ensure smooth and reliable power distribution.

Objectives

  • Manufacture and supply a 1.5MVA 11kV/400V containerized substation to meet power requirements.
  • Implement multi-step 150kVAR Power Factor Correction to optimize power quality at the precast yard.
  • Ensure the supply of all necessary components for HV infrastructure, including cables, metering units, load banks, and fuel tanks.
  • Deliver the project within the agreed timeline and budget, ensuring operational efficiency.
