Completed: 2012
Project Description:
JLE were engaged to undertake the contract for the supply and install of 25Kv power line extension to service a new vent fan supply project being installed by RGA Electrics.
The project consisted of supply and install of 300m of 22Kv steel wired armed cable from existing HV switch room to new UGOH termination at new power pole.
A new 1.5km overhead power line extension to supply the 22Kv to the new vent fan kiosk substation located approx. 2km from existing HV switching station.
Throughout the project, JLE were in constant communication with RGA Electrics regarding programming of supply and outage requirements. This led to a successful project being designed, constructed and commissioned on budget and on time for the Cobar Mine.
From site inductions to commissioning, the process took a total of 4 days. JLE project managers and supervisors undertook hours of planning & communication with the mines OHS&E team to insure all relevant OHS&E and quality measures were met.
The project has been completed with zero defects or call backs/incidents.
