Project Description:

For the Yallourn Morwell River Diversion Pumping Substations project, JLE collaborated with White Technics to serve end user Energy Australia. This $3.3 million project involved the design and manufacture of eight 2.5MVA 22kV/415V skid-type substations for a dewatering application.

Key components of the substations included:

  • Custom-engineered, hot-dip galvanized skid base
  • Weatherproof 22kV switchgear RMU
  • Enhanced Protected KNAN type oil TX, Dyn11, 2.5MVA 11kV/415V transformer
  • Low voltage connection box
  • Remote operation panel and monitoring capability of 22kV switchgear and transformer protection
  • Neutral Earthing Resistor

These substations were air-freighted from overseas, with all components assembled in Australia on a tight deadline. The project showcased our ability to deliver complex and custom-engineered solutions efficiently, ensuring high-quality performance and reliability for Energy Australia’s operations.
